The receiving point moves
In a carpark there is no fixed dock, so the delivery lands wherever the truck can get close to the door. That may be different each week depending on how full the carpark is and which entrance is being used. A scope tied to a specific location will describe the wrong place half the time, which is a frustrating thing to discover on the night.
Describing the area functionally works better: the approach between the delivery position and the store door, whatever route that takes on the day, plus the threshold and the first few metres inside. The crew cleans the route that was actually used, which the store can usually point to, and reports anything left in a bay that the store has not cleared. Where the store can nominate a preferred position, that is worth recording as the default.
